Neo-Gothic Chalice 070
Description
An exquisitely crafted Neo-Gothic chalice inspired by the work of papal goldsmiths.
This richly ornamented liturgical chalice features an elaborate openwork design enhanced with cloisonné enamel inlays. The cup is engraved with the Latin inscription: “CALICEM SALUTARIS ACCIPIAM, ET NOMEN DOMINI INVOCABO” (“I will take the cup of salvation and call upon the name of the Lord”).
The multi-lobed foot is adorned with painted enamel medallions depicting Saint Mary Magdalene, Saint Urban, Saint Joseph, Jesus Christ, the Virgin Mary, and Saint John the Baptist. The intricate openwork decoration, combined with vibrant polychrome enameling, endows the chalice with exceptional visual richness and reflects the highest standards of ecclesiastical goldsmithing.
