Description
Neo-Gothic tower monstrance made of brass, 24-karat gold-plated with silver-plated accents. The upper part of the monstrance is adorned with architectonic elements reflecting the Neo-Gothic style such as pinnacles and fleurons. This layer has several silver-plated figures: Jesus Christ at the top, St. Peter and St. Paul on both sides of the luna case and the Holy Spirit (the Dove) at the bottom. The monstrance is highly decorated with floral filigree openwork. The entire structure is surmounted by a spire with a cross. The node and the six-lobed base are graced with ornaments shaped as grapevine. This model is a fine example of Neo-Gothic monstrances popular in 20th-century Europe.
