Description
A large monstrance (height: 43-3/4") made of brass, 24-karat gold-plated with silver-plated and blue-enameled accents. The sunburst-shaped glory consists of three layers of rays and two silver-plated wreaths made of ornate floral scrollwork. The bigger wreath is adorned with figures of God the Father and Jesus at the top, and six angels around the luna case. The opening for the luna is gold-rimmed, filigreed and encrusted with synthetic red gemstones. A figure of the Holy Spirit (the Dove) is placed at the bottom of the sunburst. The stem is decorated with floral open filigrees. A silver-plated filigree design with blue-enameled ornaments and synthetic red gemstones is attached to the round base. The monstrance is surmounted by a sculpted flowery cross. Host dimensions: 2-3/4".
