Monstrance 468, Ostensorium with Twelve Apostles in colorful enamel
Description
Brass monstrance, 24-karat gold-plated with red stones accents, inspired by German models from the late XIX and early XX century. The magnificent glory consists of a sunburst and a layer of ornate open filigrees with medallions depicting the Apostles. The gold-rimmed luna case has a blue-enameled Latin inscription: “Ecce Agnus dei Qui Tollis Peccata Mundi”. The stem and the node are decorated with fine filigrees. Medallions on the round base feature symbols of the Evangelists. All medallions are silver-plated and finished in colorful enamel.
